Smoothies and some burnt buns

Thurs. night Jess, Jenni, and Rach came over for a few hours to hang out with us. We all had a great time just talking and laughing with one another. Thanks girls for coming over. I love you girls, come back over soon!

jenni recovering from a close call- ok so in addition to being a bit burnt the cinnamon rolls were really doughy on the inside, yeah, something went wrong.
They had such potential, no they were pretty good and we had many laughs eating/choking on them ; )
the smoothies were too good to wait for a picture.
the smoothie/milkshake makers (minus Laura)
a little overdone : ) this one actually looks pretty good. (I would just like to remind you girls who was in charge of these..... Mary, Rach... mmmhhhh)

Night at the beach

Last Saturday our fam headed out to the beach for a night on the boardwalk. The weather was so nice and there were a ton of bands playing. We parked down near 32nd street and walked down to Dairy Queen and back. It was fun because we typically don't go that far down. Mary had gone to a lakehouse with some friends and was missed very much. Mary and I will always laugh at each others jokes (and each other) and think the same things are funny, so I was especially missing her every time I thought of something funny or would do something dorky ( like tripping down the steps, yes I did that). The pics are a little out of order, but who cares: )

Summer time

My summer so far... The pictures are random but they cover the 4th of July, spending time with nell and jord while the rest of the fam was in Ohio, Rob and Coleman's wedding and a trip to the Mall. Hope you are having a wonderful summer! Luke 12:22-25 "...Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For Life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Youth Camp 2008

We had a great time at Youth Camp but are glad to be back home. The messages, "Am I Saved?" by Mickey Connolly, "Honoring God and Parents" by Keith Breault, "Worldliness" by Gene Emerson, and "Is It Worth my Life?" by Joe Lechner, were very convicting. Each message came with a set of questions that were intended for personal evaluation and were helpful. We did every thing from playing cards, soccer, basketball, foosball, pool, watching fireworks, to just hanging out over a meal or in a dorm lounge. It was a blast!(Captions done by Laura)

memories

Sometimes when I'm listening to the radio in my car, I hear a song that reminds me of my childhood and the days when all of the Korday girls lived at home in our little town-house and had simple lives playing together all day long...making huge messes that we never enjoyed cleaning up.  Here are just a few songs that I love simply cause they are comforting and bring me back to those wonderful days. I love you girls and you three are my dearest, most treasured girl friends along with mom!!! Hope you have a wonderful week LOVE you more than you could even imagine.

New Attitude 2008

We're back from Kentucky and still catching up on loss of sleep (at least I am). New Attitude '08 was simply a blast!! We arrived in Louisville around 2:30 Saturday afternoon and hung out til around 7:30. Josh Harris spoke from Jeremiah 15:16 "Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for i am called by your name, O Lord of hosts." He asked the question, "What is your attitude towards God's word, and does it have meaning to your life?" Those were some loaded questions for me. He compared the responses of Josiah, Jehoikim, and Jeremiah to the word of God. Wish i could go into detail, but that would take forever, so there's a brief overview. After the message, we all split up into Community groups. Josh Dowling and Steven Wood were the only other people from our church in my group. That was so fun being with them. Our group leader had us introduce ourselves and share our testimony. It was awesome to hear how the Lord drew each individual to himself in such different ways. After that, we walked to the "Neighborhood" to buy shirts. The Neighborhood was kind of like the Bookstore/Art gallery.
Every night, we would stay up til 2:30, and sometimes 3:00 am playing games, having fellowship in the hotel halls, walking around Louisville, and listen to the Hunts, Gabe, Caleb, Tyler, & Zelos play amazing music together.
I roomed with Jenni Hunt, Melissa Smith and Rachael Myhill. We had a blast and, umm... remember that one night, gals, that we couldn't stop talking and laughing even though we were like DEAD TIRED??? That was definitely ONE of my highlights!!!! I met three girls from Maryland in my community group and hung out with them a little. They were so sweet and we all hit it off right away.
Sunday, Mark Dever taught on "The authority of scripture". That was another amazing message. That afternoon, Al Mohler had a Bible question & answer time. Most of it was too deep for me to understand, but i definitely enjoyed listening as we chewed on yummy chocolate candy Mel and Mag had stuffed in their purses. :) That night C,J. Mahaney spoke on "God's Word and our Feelings" That was another very excellent sermon. I would recommend everyone who missed out on the conference to listen to the messages online. I felt like I simply wanted to sit down and THINK after every one of them. Such good teaching and very full of specific application.
Monday morning Eric Simmons preached and that afternoon and evening, John Piper taught. He was one of my favorite speakers. If I had to briefly describe him, i would say he reminds me of a father who is extremely advanced in wisdom and knowledge and who has a passionate desires for his children to understand the simple truths of God and his Word. He taught on the life of William Tyndale and "Fighting for Faith with God's Word".
The last morning, C.J. Mahaney taught on how we really study the Bible. I took almost 30 pages of notes on the trip and am so excited to review what the Lord has taught me. Even there, the Lord opened my eyes to sins i had grown numb to and was greatly saddened by, but he was so faithful to remind me of his great promises and I am thrilled to seek Him in battling those areas.
We were supposed to arrive back home Tuesday @ around 10:30 PM, but because of bad weather in Newark, where our layover was, Kaitlin Richards, Rachael Liz and I didn't end up getting home til close to 3:30 AM...AAAAAAHHHH!!! We made the most of it and listened to music, wrote in our journals and ate TONS of treats at the airport. Love you girls and had a blast flying with you. It was also so good to see Megan Shaw, Brittany, kerri, Ryan and Julian Bendinelli, and the Shanks. We love you guys.
I truly couldn't pick one thing as my highlight, for it was all one whole highlight for me. I can't wait for next year. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
