Dillard... One of the best places on earth

Every summer our fam heads down to Dillard, Georgia. It's a small city in the north Georgia mountains. This year proved to be one of the best ever.

The original Dillard House was just a small bed and breakfast. This was the first building which is now home to a cute gift shop and some of the best food on the planet. The actual rooms we stay in, the Meadows, are long single story stone buildings with back porches, furnished with rocking chairs and an incredible display of God's handiwork. The pool has to be the best in the world for a number of reasons. First the view, second it's ten feet deep, third there's a sweet hot tub, and finally and probably best no lifeguards. Basically every bit of Dillard is gorgeous and our favorite part. What can we say? we love it! So maybe it's not all that great, but to us, nothing could ever come close. Hope you enjoy the pics!

...Abandoned :(
Dear faithful readers of this blog,

You have been abandoned. We are sorry to inform you facebook and other things have
captivated the current attention of the previous authors of Double Trouble. They'll try and tell you this is not true, but observe the posting frequency and you will wholeheartedly agree. We apologize you have been abandoned.

random happenings
'Run Mad as often as you choose but do not faint'
RM :)
thousands of runners
13.1 miles
Heather, Jen, Jessi and I all ran the Shamrock 1/2 marathon.
All i can say is if I could get back to walking properly
(sore muscles = walking like granny)
I'd do it again in a heartbeat. SOOOOO much fun.
(i was also FREEEZING... notice all the experienced runners all bundled up:)
Thanks Ma and Pah for getting up @ 4:20AM Sunday morning to watch me run!!!!!!!
*****That meant a lot to me*****
The best part of the race was the finish line -obviously- but for me,
the thrill was not only in the conclusion of a long run, it was seeing
mom and dad waving this sign they had made for me. It made me smile soooo big
and most importantly, i forgot all the pain my body was experiencing!!!
I love you both dearly and was so blessed by your support.
The Lord totally met me during that time. He kept putting
a picture in my head and this verse pretty much sums it up...
'Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us RUN with PERSEVERANCE the RACE marked out for us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith who,
for the joy set before him endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand
of the throne of God.'

It was such a fun night
