'Run Mad as often as you choose but do not faint'
RM :)
thousands of runners
13.1 miles
Heather, Jen, Jessi and I all ran the Shamrock 1/2 marathon.
All i can say is if I could get back to walking properly
(sore muscles = walking like granny)
I'd do it again in a heartbeat. SOOOOO much fun.
(i was also FREEEZING... notice all the experienced runners all bundled up:)
Thanks Ma and Pah for getting up @ 4:20AM Sunday morning to watch me run!!!!!!!
*****That meant a lot to me*****
The best part of the race was the finish line -obviously- but for me,
the thrill was not only in the conclusion of a long run, it was seeing
mom and dad waving this sign they had made for me. It made me smile soooo big
and most importantly, i forgot all the pain my body was experiencing!!!
I love you both dearly and was so blessed by your support.
The Lord totally met me during that time. He kept putting
a picture in my head and this verse pretty much sums it up...
'Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us RUN with PERSEVERANCE the RACE marked out for us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith who,
for the joy set before him endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand
of the throne of God.'
Heb. 12.1
It was such a fun night
Rachel killed us every time
